PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to automatically match two images by setting a transfer function for mapping a model position in a monochromatic product image to a model position in a monochromatic reference image, and applying the transfer function to the image face of a product image to match the product image with its reference image. SOLUTION: A reference image containing at least, one image face is acquired from a reference copy by a 4-channel detector 21, and the reference image is converted to a monochromatic reference image by an ink separation process 23. On the other hand, a created image containing at least, one image face is acquired from a product copy, and a product image is converted to a monochromatic product image by the ink separation process 23. Further, an objective model is set in the monochromatic reference image, and at the same time, the position of the objective model is identified in the product image. In addition, a reference function for mapping a model position in the monochromatic product image to a model position in the monochromatic product image is set and is applied to the image face of the product image, so that the product image is mapped to the reference image. |
