PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce disturbance of gradation balance by incorporating a specified compound and specifying the gradation ratio of a yellow, magenta, and cyan in the case of 2 development processing. SOLUTION: This photosensitive material contains a compound comprising a photographic useful component inactivated by chelating with a metal atom, and the gradation rations, in the case of the development processing (I) and (II) satisfy the following inequalities: 0.8<=rII (Y)/rI(Y)<=0.2, 0.8<=rII (M)/rI(M)<=1.2, and 0.8<=rII(C)/rI(C)<=1.2, where rI (Y), r(M), and rI(C) are the gradations obtained by carrying out the development processing (I) and rII (Y), rII(M), and r(C) are the gradation obtained by carrying out the development processing (II). Each of the development processing (I) and (II) is executed as follows: each of a color developing time is 3min 15sec and 60sec, each of the temperatures of the color developing solution is 38 deg.C and 45 deg.C, and each of the color developing solution contains 2-methyl-4-[N-ethyk-N-(β-hydroxyethyl) amino]aniline in a concentration of 15-20 and 35-40 milimol/l.
