PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make gradation recording possible by a simple constitution by providing a means wherein a recording head is repeatedly scanned a plurality of times and dots with different diameters are formed on a recording medium by repeating printing by this duplicate scannings of a plurality of times. SOLUTION: A control part 105 for driving sub-scanning is provided with a counter 106 for counting the number of scannings, a print data searching circuit 107 for searching for print data of a nozzle positioned at the end part in the opposite direction to the sub-scanning direction and a motor driving control circuit 108 for controlling line feed operation when the counted value of the counter for counting the number of scannings reaches n and when the print data searching circuit 107 searches for no print data. In addition, the control part 105 is provided with a sub-scanning motor driving circuit 109 for driving of rotation of a sub-scanning motor 34 in accordance with a driving signal from the motor driving control circuit 108. The control part 105 constitutes a means wherein a recording head is repeatedly scanned a plurality of times by performing no sub-scanning (line feed operation). |
