<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent any unexpected malfunction by making a switch operation of a predetermined on-vehicle electrical device ineffective when it is detected that an ignition switch operated by an ignition key is in a given locked state. SOLUTION: When an ignition key inserted into an ignition key inserting hole 1 is turned, a contact of a power switch housed inside is switched. When the key is positioned in an OFF position 2, an accessory position 4, an ON position 5 and a starting position 6, starting or stopping of an engine and power supply to devices can be controlled in the same manner as the prior art. Furthermore, the key is positioned in a child lock position 3 when a driver leaves an automobile for a short period in an operative state of the engine. In the child lock position 3, a switch operation or the like is recognized and controlled by a microcomputer, to thus become ineffective, and further, the power is supplied from a battery. The key can be drawn in the child lock position 3, and the automobile is stationary by operation of a side brake. Moreover, an air conditioner is operated, thereby adjusting an inside temperature to a predetermined value.</p> |
