The cable system has an insulating connecting cover (4) mounted at an insulating housing (2) so as to terminate a multiple of insulated conductors of an electric cable. A conducting sleeve (10) encloses the insulated conductors (5) at the places, at which the insulated conductors stretch out, from the mounted connecting cover (4) and the housing (2). Conducting shells (12) are provided, which are fixed to each other, so that the shells close over the mounted connecting cover (4) and the housing (2), and the insulated conductors (5) and the sleeve (10) are securely clamped by the shells, to produce an electrical connection between the sleeve and the shells. At least one conducting fixing unit (17) is applied in the shells, for producing a coupling and an electrical connection with a fixing unit-coupling section of a complementary electrical connector.
