PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound having a platelet aggregation- inhibiting action, slight in side effects such as hemorrhage, controlling or inhibiting the adhesion of cells and thereby effective for preventing and treating various kinds of diseases. SOLUTION: A compound of formula I [A<1> and A<2> are each a proton- accepting group, a group capable of being changed into the proton-accepting group; D is a two to ten atoms-chain spacer which may pass through one or more heterogeneous atoms and/or a five to six-membered ring; R<1> is H, a hydrocarbon; R<2> is H, a residue obtained by removing CH(NH2 )COOH from anα-amino acid; P is an one to ten atom chain spacer which may pass through one or more heterogeneous atoms and/or a five-six-membered ring; Y is carboxyl group which may being esterified or amidated; (n) is an integer of 0-8] or its salt, e.g. (S)-4-(4-amidinobenzoyl)aminoacetyl-3- 3-(4-amidinobenzoyl) amino}propyl-2-oxopiperadine-1-acetic acid. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting a compound of formula II with a compound of formula III.
