<p>2.1 The invention relates to a radio receiver (2) for a phase- or frequency-modulated communication signal (e), comprising an analog receiving section (10) with nonlinear dynamic compression (22), with an analog/digital converter (25) and with a digital signal processing section (30). Nonlinear distortion occurs in the communication signal due to the non-linear dynamic compression. 2.2 To prevent this non-linear distortion, it is proposed that the digital signal processing section (30) exhibits an expansion section (29) for compensating for the non-linear dynamic compression (22) of the analog receiving section (10).
