The invention concerns a method in which soil which is to be sown is levelled out, harrowed and sown, after which the seeds are covered, re-levelled and packed by rolling in the same work stage and with a single run using the same machine. The invention is characterized in that the levelling of the soil, harrowing and sowing, covering of the seeds and re-levelling are carried out by a ploughing method. The harrowing and sowing in particular are carried out by ploughing with plough harrows 21, 24, 27 in such a way that, in combination with the harrowing, at least partial covering of the seeds is also carried out, by means of ploughing in conjunction with harrowing. The invention also concerns a machine used in this method and comprising a first plough group 10; 11 for levelling the soil before harrowing, a second plough group 20; 21, 25, 27 for harrowing and sowing, a third plough group 30; 31 for re-levelling the soil and covering the seeds, a roller 40 for packing the soil, and one or more containers 2 for seed and fertilizer. <IMAGE>
