The cables (26,54), in sleeves (50,52), synchronise two derailleurs (28,56) by selection of plates and selection of pinions. The single cable control comprises a rotating indented cam (20) and a pivoting lever (40) receiving the ends of the sleeves. The heads of the cables are fixed to the cam and the lever. The lever has a roller (58) which engages the cam indentations to cause differential displacement of the cables and corresponding differential displacements of the derailleurs.
