Raster scan image film recorder e.g. for computer graphics

The recorder includes a monitor which displays an image in the form of scanning lines. An optical arrangement focuses the raster projecting image on a photo film. A masking arrangement (M) is arranged in front of the monitor and sets at least one projection window for letting through one scan line. A control system drives the masking arrangement for shifting the projection window synchronously to the display of the image to let through the light of the current scan line and to block other light. Preferably, a cathode-ray tube (T) provides the scan lines with a preset length.
