PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce impact sound caused on a wiped surface when the wiper is reversed by absorbing oscillation in substantially the vertical direction to the surface to be wiped out of a wiper blade by a shock absorbing member disposed in coupling part, of a wiper arm and the wiper blade. SOLUTION: An inside part of a U shaped hook 18 of a tip of an arm piece 16 is formed with cut out and a damping rubber 40 is cured and adhered in this cut out part, 18a. In particular, the damping rubber 40 is arranged in opposite inside surfaces 18c and 18d in the U shaped hook 18. A clip 30 coupling the arm piece 16 and a wiper blade of the wiper arm respectively is fit in the U shaped hook 18 such that they are held between the damping rubber 40. The damping rubber 40 is mounted orthogonal to a height direction of the wiper blade and oscillation in the height direction of the wiper blade is absorbed. Thereby, oscillation in approximately vertical, direction of the wiper blade to a window shield surface is restrained to reduce impact sound.
