CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A LIGHTING FIXTURE LOAD

This control system automatically varies the lighting level of the lighting fixtures used particularly in large commercial or industrial buildings. The system has a power module including a plurality of switching circuits which are monitored by a logic module to connect the operating power to the lighting fixtures. The operating power provides a plurality of inputs varying from a maximum voltage to a minimum voltage. The logic module responses to the occupancy condition of the building detected by ambient sensors to send command signals to the power module such that the switching circuits are operated to connect the input power to the lighting fixtures in a serial stepping manner either from the maximum voltage to the minimum voltage or vice versa. The system reduces energy consumption as well as lengthens the life of the lighting fixtures.
