<p>An optical pickup which can be used for the record and/or reproduction for at least two different types of optical discs. The optical pickup device has a first objective lens, a second objective lens which has a numerical aperture different from the numerical aperture of the first objective lens, a bobbin to which the first and second objective lenses are attached and a driving mechanism by which the bobbin is transferred in a first direction parallel with the optical axis of the first and second objective lenses and in a second direction perpendicular to the optical axis of the first and second objective lenses. By using the first and second objective lenses selectively, data are recorded and/or reproduced on and/or from at least two different types of optical discs.</p> |
