<p>A plurality of beverage cans (11) having reclosable covers (20) in combination with a detachable carrier (13). Each cover is disposed on top of a respective beverage can with the carrier releasably separating the beverage cans from each other. Each cover includes a downwardly depending peripheral hinge (21) secured to the sidewall of the beverage can. The cover includes a circular recess adjacent to a flange (33) to permit stacking of other cans. The flange includes a row of perforations (16) for releasing the cover via a pull strip (26). The carrier is releasably attached to the edge of the flange by the perforations so that individual cans can be separated from the carrier leaving only a web of reduced area for ultimate disposal.</p> |
