<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve bottom sediment efficiently by a method in which a tank which encloses sediment, which is turned anaerobic, on the water bottom from above and forms a retention space for bottom layer water is installed, gas containing oxygen is supplied into the tank to form a gas layer and a quasi water surface in the tank, and the bottom layer water is agitated. SOLUTION: In the improvement of sediment 35, which is turned anaerobic, on the water bottom 1, first a frame assembly 7 is placed on the bottom 1, the assembly 7 is covered with a sheet 8 to constitute a tank 2. Next, gas containing oxygen is supplied into the tank 2, and a gas layer 33 is formed above a retention space 19. In this way, a quasi water surface 34 appears in the space 19 so that bottom layer water 16 comes in contact with the gas containing oxygen. A gas-liquid mixture is led to a horizontal pipe 24 through a fixed pipe 18 and a rotary pipe 23 and ejected from a jet nozzle 25. Next, a motor 15 is driven, the dissolution of oxygen into the bottom layer water 16 is accelerated, the sediment 35 is flung up to bring it into contact with oxygen, and oxygen is supplied to the sediment on the bottom of deep water.</p> |
