摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a motion vector used for picture compression and object tracking at high speed by simultaneously transferring whole picture data to the other storage elements in a picture at unit in a row direction and providing compactors for the respective storage elements between banks. SOLUTION: Picture signals received in two-dimensional CCD 11 are converted into digital signals in an A/D conversion part 12 for the respective elements by the control of a data control circuit 20 and are stored in one bank 13a if a frame memory 14. Picture data of the next frame are stored in the bank 13b. The compactors 24 comprising a comparison part 21 compare picture data stored in a pair of storage elements in the banks output differential values and obtained the total sum of outputs. The displacement of picture data between the banks when the total sum detects a minimum value is outputted to a difference unit 23 as the motion vector and it is stored in a motion vector storage memory 25. Then, picture data in the row direction is simultaneously kept in the latch 18 and whole picture data are simultaneously transferred to the adjacent memories and picture data between the frames are compared at once after transfer terminates.</p>
