摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to inexpensively obtain an active matrix panel which has high fineness, is compact and is highly reliable by arranging the unit cells of gate line driver circuits in correspondence to the width of the integer times the pitches of a pixel matrix. SOLUTION: The unit cells of the driver circuits are formed within the limited pitches equal to the pixel pitches 181 to 183 (or twice the pixel pitches) in the gate line driver circuits or source line driver circuits. Namely, the cells of the driver circuits are repetitively arranged with the length D of the pixel pitches 181 to 183 as a period. For example, the unit cells of the driver circuits are formed in regions 196 to 198 provided with wirings 184 for positive power sources, wirings 185 for negative power sources, silicon thin films 186 to 191 constituting the source, drain and channel parts of P type TFTs and silicon thin films 192 to 195 constituting the source, drain and channel parts of N type TFTs. The element sepn. of the respective TFTs is executed by etching the silicon thin films to an island shape.</p>
