摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To coat ceramics on a metal sufficiently in adhesion by an inexpensive wet method by regulating the half value width of a specified diffraction ray in a dry state of the boehmite sol to be used to specified value or below at the time of applying and baking a boehmite to the metal and forming alumina coating. SOLUTION: A boehite sol in which the half value width of the (020) diffraction ray in a dry state is regulated to <=4 deg.C in 2θis applied and baked to the surface of a metal. The baking temp. is regulated to >=400 deg.C. In this way, aluminum coating can be formed on various metallic surfaces with tight adhesion. There is close relation between the crystallinity of the boehmite sol at the time of the drying and its adhesion to the surface of the metallic substrate after the baking of the sol, and the crystallinity can be evaluated by the half value width of the (020) diffraction ray.
