PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to keep track of dot development time for image data in notice without using a special arithmetic unit, and to realize smooth timing control of paper feed and printing based on the dot development time. SOLUTION: A compression section 113 which compresses image data to write, a hard disk 114 which stores image data compressed in the compression section 113, an expansion section 115 which expands image data stored in the hard disk 114, a frame memory 116 which develops temporarily the image data expanded in the expansion section 115, a controller 112 which detects the rate of compression of the image data, selects a prescribed data output route on the basis of the rate of compression and outputs, and an engine control section 111 which controls the recording paper carrying timing in accordance with the compression rate of the image data detected in the controller 112, are provided. |
