PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to make a headlamp beam reaching distance fit to a practical demand of a driver. SOLUTION: Vehicle characteristic speed is additionally considered of to extend or shorten a headlamp beam reaching distance at the time of high speed or low speed under a method to adjust the headlamp beam reaching distance of a vehicle in accordance with loadage. The headlamp beam reaching distance is shortened rather than the time of low speed at the time of stopping the vehicle. The same thing can be applied to the time of traveling on a road of a rough road surface.
