PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pedal bracket structure that can take large stroke distance between a pedal bracket and a steering column supporting bracket or a pillar-to- pillar member at the time of emergency without causing weight increase of the pedal bracket and furthermore cost increase and without generating such defectiveness as to increase vibration at the time of idling. SOLUTION: This structure of a pedal bracket 1 has at least an upper wall 15 and two side walls 14, 14 with the upper ends connected to the upper wall 15, and the lower part and rear side of the side walls 14, 14 are opened. Outward opened guide walls 13, 13 are extendedly formed on the rear end side of two side walls 14, 14. The distance between two side walls 14, 14 is larger than the vehicle cross direction outer width of a supporting bracket for supporting a steering column, and in the case where the load of the specified value or more is inputted from a vehicle front direction, the supporting bracket is inserted with play into the pedal bracket 1. |
