PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple welding method superior in seawater resistant corrosivity, for a titanium clad steel plate. SOLUTION: A clad material 2 is removed at the abutting part of a titanium clad steel plate 1, with a bevel formed on the base material 3 where the clad material 2 is removed. The bevelled base materials 3 are welded to each other. A titanium clad steel piece 4 with the same thickness as the titanium clad steel plate 1 is welded to both ends of the area extending from the weld zone 5 of the base material to the adjacent titanium clad steel plate 1, in the manner of coinciding the faces of the clad material 2. A patch plate 6 is welded to the surface of the steel plate 1 adjacent to the weld zone 5 of the base material and to the surface of the steel piece 4, covering the entire area of the weld zone 5 of the base material. In addition, in the welding of the steel plate 1 and the steel piece 4, the weld zone 7 on the side between the different materials, titanium and steel, are welded by plasma or TIG welding using Ag-Cu based filler material in an inert gas. |
