The connecting assembly has a fixing flange (2) on one axial end and there is a connecting flange for the mating pipe end at the other end. The connecting piece (6) and fixing flange are interconnected by a coil spring (5). A metal bellows (10) is located between them, and a damping component (14) lies coaxially with them, radially encompasses them, and bears against the coils of the spring. The spring is connected to the connecting piece and fixing flange by its two axial end sections.
