<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the insertion of a wire by beveling or rounding the inlet of the lead wire insertion hole of a pipe-like support constituting an air flow rate measuring element thereby guiding a wire. SOLUTION: An electric insulator of alumina or zirconia is molded into a pipe to produce a support 4 which is inserted, at the opposite ends thereof, with a conductive metal lead wire 5 and bonded with glass or the like. A temperature dependent conductive metal film is wound spirally on the outer surface of the support 4 and welded to a lead wire 5 to form a resistor 6 which is then applied with a protective coating layer 7 thus forming an air flow rate measuring element 1. When the inlet of the lead wire insertion hole of the support 4 is beveled, for example, the lead wire 5 is guided toward inner center of the support 4. Consequently, the support 4 and the misalignment of the lead wire 5 are prevented from being shifted hooking of the support 4 to the side face is suppressed resulting in the enhancement of productivity.</p> |
