The system (1) has a light source (8) to emit, towards a glass (2), an incident light beam (9), where the beam is reflected on internal and external surfaces (3, 4) of the glass by forming light traces. One of the light traces is modified or dimmed by presence of heterogeneity on the glass. An image acquisition device i.e. camera (5), acquires an image of the light trace to be modified by the presence of heterogeneity e.g. water droplets (15), on the glass, where the system delivers, according to the image, a signal indicating presence of heterogeneities on the glass. An independent claim is also included for a method for detection of heterogeneities on a glass of a motor vehicle. |
