The invention relates to a motor vehicle structure (2) comprising a portion (6), generally extensive, with several screws (101, 102, 103) welded to said portion (3) and intended for the fixing of a device (24) that detects impact and fires (an) airbag(s); the structure (2) further comprising: a ribbed plate (12) fixed to the structure portion (6) between the screws (101, 102, 103) so as to reduce the inertance of at least one of said screws.
