HOLLOW MOLDING BY GAS-ASSIST MOLDING METHOD AND MOLD ASSEMBLY FOR MOLDING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase strength by molding a rib projecting inside a hollow part integrally in an appropriate place of a hollow molding which is produced by ejecting gas into a cavity. SOLUTION: A plate-shaped projection 20 is formed in each rod-shaped horizontal-part-molding cavity to be extended along the center line of the cavity on a plan. Nozzles 14 are attached to both sides between which the projection 20 is held. A long hollow rib 21 contacted with upper and lower double-face plates 5a, 5b is formed in each rod-shaped horizontal part 5 in a foot body 3. The strength of the foot body can be improved remarkably by the presence of the hollow ribs 21.
