PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bleaching detergent which can remove stains due to mildew by applying it to a surface to form a film, drying the film and peeling off the dried film, by blending an oxygen-base bleaching agent with a composition capable of forming a film having a specified tensile strength. SOLUTION: This bleaching detergent is obtained by blending a composition (A) capable of forming a film which has a tensile strength of 5-10,000gf/mm<2> when dried at 23±2 deg.C and a relative humidity of at least 95% for 3hr and an oxygen-base bleaching agent (B). The composition A preferably used comprises a mixture of, e.g. a hydrophilic polyvinyl alcohol, vinyl acetate emulsion or pullulan with a water resistance modifier comprising, e.g. an acetalized polyvinyl alcohol, a carboxylated polyalkylene glycol or a polymethyl acrylate. The component B comprises at least one compound selected from hydrogen peroxide, peroxoborates and peroxocarbonates. The physical properties of this bleaching detergent can be improved by blending therewith a water-soluble silicate, a surfactant and a bleaching activator comprising, e.g. glucose pentaacetate.
