PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for external use of pets, containing a perfume glycoside, having an action for inhibiting the generation of odor from the pets, and useful; for cleaning agents, grooming agents, etc. SOLUTION: This composition contains a perfume glycoside such as theβ-galactopyranoside and/orα-galactopyranoside of methyl salicylate, menthol, thymol, cis-3-hexenol, vanillin or eugenol, preferably in an amount of 0.01-10wt.%. The composition for external use is referably used as a cleaning agent or a grooming agent.
