PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate differential limit torque by a characteristic matched to a demand of a vehicle at the time of differential rotation by providing a stopper means to avoid displacement of more than specified at the time when only one of a pair of left and right torque transmission means is displaced to the side of a friction clutch means. SOLUTION: An inner housing 31 slides on a spline fitting part 12L, an outer housing 32 is held coaxially with an axis C, and both of them are made free to displace in a direction of the axis C in a housing. However, a female spline 23 as a stopper means formed on an inner peripheral surface of the housing cannot displace along the axis C in the housing more than specified. Consequently, driving torque is respectively transmitted between the housing and a pair of left and right output shafts only by a pair of left and right viscous couplings in the condition of splitμ, etc. Accordingly, it is possible to properly tune a torque transmission characteristic in accordance with a demand on the side of a vehicle.
