PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a yield in processing accuracy of a heater board by a constitution wherein each of substrates is formed within a region which is formed of lines obtained such that width dimensions of an ejection energy generating element and the opposite side of each substrate are determined and each of lines is drawn from both ends of rear section of a nozzle forming section to respective both ends of the width dimensions. SOLUTION: In terms of a heater board 100 on which electro-thermal conversion elements are formed in an ink jet recording head, when the board 100 is inclined by a dimension (y) with respect to a gap (x), a shift (z) is generated at the rear side. Therefore, in order to prevent generation of interference between adjacent heater boards 100 at the rear section, it is needed to satisfy 2.z assuming that both of them are inclined. It is preferable to make a front step dimension (y) to be 10μm or less. Assuming that a dimension of rear width is (W), a front width dimension (w) and a length in a direction perpendicular to the width dimension (w) of the heater board 100 are set such that a relationship of W<=w-2.l/w.0.01 is satisfied. As a result, contact between adjacent heater boards 100 is eliminated, thereby achieving printing with high reliability.
