The foam-material sealing tape (1) has two opposing broad sides (2a,2b), which are applied to two opposite bearing surfaces of two components in the sealing of a joint. A groove (7) is attached adjacent on the opposite side of a fastening unit of a body (4) on a sealing tape longitudinal section (5), so that the fastening unit arranged at the broad side of the longitudinal portion extends to the groove. The fastening unit arranged at the broad side near to the groove extends toward a cut back.
