PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency braking mechanism for an elevator car door by a linear motor system. SOLUTION: A brake shoe 42 is operated by a solenoid 44 toward a first pulley 30 around which a cable 34 for driving a door hanger 14 to suspend a door 12 therefrom. The brake shoe 42 is provided with a projected part 43 to be brought into slidable contact with a pulley liner 36 of the first pulley 30 by the force of a spring 50. The solenoid 44 keeps a plunger in a coil frame 46 in the operation mode of the regular operation or the like, and releases the plunger in the non-operation mode such as in an emergency. |
