FIELD: welding. SUBSTANCE: process can be used for overlaying of cylindrical surfaces of parts of small diameter under flux. Slag flux is subjected to action of cooling atmosphere. Compressed air is used in the capacity of cooling atmosphere. Cooling is conducted at distance along circumference from point of arcing corresponding to 20-100 diameters of electrodes in direction along tangent to slag crust. EFFECT: stable quality and high productivity of process.
