PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable stable rolling of an aluminum or aluminum alloy plate without leaving oil on the surface of the plate and preventing the seizure caused by insufficient application of the oil to the plate by controlling the temperature of a water-dispersed hot-rolling oil composition within a specific range, thereby keeping the average particle diameter of the rolling oil within a prescribed range. SOLUTION: An aluminum or aluminum alloy plate is rolled by using a water-dispersed hot-rolling oil composition containing (A) a mineral oil, (B) a 10-22C fatty acid (1-22C alkyl monoester) or an oil or fat, (C) a 4-18C alkyl or alkenylphosphoric acid ester and (D) an organic acid salt [the acid is expressed by the formula R<4> COOH (R<4> is a 1-5C alkyl, etc.)] of a copolymer of a monomer of the formula (R<1> is H or CH3 ; R<2> and R<3> are each H or a 1-3C alkyl; (m) is 0 or 1; (n) is 1-3) and (meth)acrylamide or a (meth)acrylic acid salt and having an average molecular weight of 10,000-1,000,000 while controlling the temperature of the composition Z to 40-70 deg.C. The average particle diameter of the component A can be controlled to 5-15μm by this procedure to achieve various objective effects. |
