PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid bearing device without generating corrosion of a bearing material even at a high temperature, lowering frictional coefficient of a bearing part by suppressing wearing and slide-heating and capable of realizing a long life and high accuracy, and useful for a spindle motor for a magnetic recorder, etc., by using a specific lubricating oil composition. SOLUTION: This fluid bearing device has a bearing sleeve formed with copper alloy containing lead or tin and uses a lubricating oil composition of a mixture of 100 pts.wt. of base oil containing a compound of formula I [R and R' are each a group of formula II (m) is 0-6; (n) is 13-15} and a pair of carbon number of R and R' as (13, 14), (14, 14), (14, 15) or (15, 15) as principal components] with 0.1-2.5 pts.wt. of a phenolic antioxidant [e.g. 2,2-bis(t-butyl-4- hydroxyphenyl)propane]. |
