PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current-limiting PTC polymer element of low contact resistance available for use of high current and high voltage, and manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: A current-limiting PTC polymer element has a conductive polymer composition, which comprises a polymer filled with conductive particles in a dispersed condition and is provided with at least two surfaces with a lot of conductive particles. At least two electrodes are electrically brought into contact with the surface with a lot of conductive particles. These surfaces with a lot of conductive particles are formed by plasma etching, corona etching, plasma sputtering or plasma spraying for the conductive polymer composition. This electric element is especially useful for circuit protection. |
