PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a monitor shape properly without being affected by a displayed size and its position and the video mode in use. SOLUTION: A monitor shape correction circuit includes a counter 16 that counts number of horizontal scanning lines (HSYNC) and provides the total number of scanning lines in a vertical frame to a storage device 20. Then a position calculation circuit 23 calculates an actual position (x) of an arrived vertical frame and a correction signal calculation circuit 24 calculates a monitor shape correction signal Y(x) based on equation being a polynomial (in the equation, ai stand for prescribed coefficients). |
