PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of delay in shift by executing the hydraulic control of the automatic transmission in response to the condition of shift. SOLUTION: A control device for an automatic transmission is so constituted that the engaging pressure of a frictional engaging device to be engaged therewith at the time of shifting for the automatic transmission connected with an engine, is directly controlled in response to change in specified revolution at the time of shifting. In this case, the device is provided with fuel cut detecting means (step 2) detecting a fuel suspending condition for the engine, and with means (step 5) changing the aforesaid engaging pressure when it is detected by the fuel cut detecting means that fuel supply is actually suspended. |
