<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-magnetic one-component developing device which is constituted so that an extremely low stress coat for making load imposed on toner as small as possible and suppressing the deterioration of the toner to the minimum is realized, a toner layer can be stably formed extending over a long term, the service life of the toner is drastically improved and the service life of the developing device itself can be prolonged and which can be optimally used as the developing device of such a type that developer is replenished used for a copying machine. SOLUTION: This developing device is the developing device using the developer including the non-magnetic toner. Then, developer supply means 4 and 5 are arranged on a more upstream side in the rotating direction of a developer carrier 1 than a developing area where a latent image on an image carrier 9 is developed so that it is not brought into contact with the carrier 1. Besides, a developer recovery means 7 is arranged on a more downstream side in the rotating direction of the carrier 1 than the developing area so that it is not brought into contact with the carrier 1. Then, a voltage is applied on at least one side of the supply means 4 and 5 and the recovery means 7 so that the cloud flow of the developer is formed by the supply means 4 and 5. By an electric field formed between the carrier 1 and the supply means 11 and 5, the carrier 1 is coated with the cloud-like developer in a non-contact state.</p> |
