PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a slicing time and make abrasive grain dispersion and coolant from flowing down smoothly and consequently prevent wires from disconnecting by a method wherein a runnable wire train, which is prepared by warping a large number of wires, is brought into contact with a work so as to perform slicing through the running of the wire train and the rotation of the work. SOLUTION: First of all, a work W is rotatably supported by a driving rotating means 1. A runnable wire train 2, which is prepared by warping a large number of wires in the fashion of the warp arrangement at the figer- making of a cloth, is brought into contact with a work W so as to execute the running of the wire train 2 and the rotation of the work W. Thus, the work W can be sliced smoothly. Concretely, the wire comes into contact with the position to be sliced towards the work W nearly from the tangent direction of the work at all times. As a rule, a slicing completes when the reaches the center of the work W. Since the above-mentioned contact from the tangent direction is efficient, a slicing time is shortened and the wire is prevented from disconnecting. |
