PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pole which cannot be broken and bent in the longitudinal direction easily by making it by fiber reinforcing resin and orienting the fiber substantially in the longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: A pole for shutting off railroad crossing 1 is constituted into one pole for shutting off railroad crossing by dividing the direction of its length into 6 parts, reducing an area of a cross section stepwise per member 2...2 in the direction of tip, and connecting them. Each member 2 is hardened by impregnating unsaturated polyester resin (its tensile elongation at the time of hardening is 10%) in vinylon fiber (roving of No.3000) and passing to through dies which have a cylindrical passage and are heated. It is obtained by cutting a hollow tubular body which is obtained by drawing molding and has a fiber volume content of 50% to a predetermined length.
