PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission which can suppress abrupt increase of output torque of an internal combustion engine at the time of kick-down. SOLUTION: In order to vary the output of an engine 12 of an automobile 11, step-on quantity of an accelerator pedal 25 is varied, and an air flow rate in an intake passage 17 is adjusted by means of a throttle valve 19 whose opening is adjusted by the step-on quantity of the pedal. A crankshaft 13 of an engine 12 is connected to wheels 24 through an automatic transmission 23 which is shifted based on an accelerator opening and vehicular speed. An electronic control unit 31 regulates the maximum opening of the throttle valve 19 smaller than in normal case when the accelerator opening is abruptly increased and the automatic transmission 23 executes kick-down. Abrupt increase of output torque is suppressed in an internal combustion engine at the time of kick-down. |
