PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use the end of a mattress fixed on the movable part of a support structure as a sofa seat and fold the rest of the mattress to the underside of the support structure to make a bed compact by converting the support structure of the mattress to a sofa on using a bed. SOLUTION: This sofa bed is provided with a mattress 1 laid on a support structure 2 in the converted state to a bed. The support structure 2 is constituted of a fixing part 3 having respective two rear and front support legs 4, 5 and a movable part 6 having a wheel 7 horizontally sliding against the middle part 8 fitted to the fixing part 3 so as to slide. When the bed is converted to the sofa, one side is arranged into the inside of the other side so that three parts 6, 8, 3 take the minimum length respectively and the mattress 1 is partly bent to the underside of the support structure 2. In this time, the movable member 6 is slid to the part where the end stoppers engages with each other against the middle part 8.
