PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrode lead wire for an ozonizer excellent in dielectric strength, having high dimensional precision and capable of control to the required film thickness by electrodepositing ceramics on a platinum wire and coating the wire with the ceramics by firing. SOLUTION: Alumina is electrodeposited on a platinum wire 1 of 0.4mm diameter in 600-800μm thickness and the wire is coated with the alumina by firing to obtain the objective electrode lead wire 3 for an ozonizer. A soln. prepd. by dissolving or dispersing alumina powder, iodine and ethylcellulose in acetylacetone may be used as an alumina electrodepositing soln. The pref. amts. of the alumina powder, iodine and ethylcellulose are 10-20g/100ml, 20-40mg/100ml and 50-100mg/100ml, respectively. Since the platinum wire 1 is positioned at the center of the alumina coating film 2 of the electrode lead wire 3, thickness of the coating film is made uniform in the peripheral and longitudinal directions and dielectric strength is enhanced.
