PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic resin compsn. with a metallic appearance which gives an injection molded item with hardly noticeable weld lines, can impart a metallic appearance even to weld line zones of the molded item, and has a color tone with no sense of incongruity. SOLUTION: This compsn. comprises 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic resin, 0.1-10 pts.wt. composites 9 comprising a glass powder 3 coated with a metal 11, and O. 1-10 pts.wt. pigment. The glass powder 3 has such a shape that each particle is tetrahedral or higher, that the plane having the max. area has a size of up to 10 times that of the plane having the min. area, and that an average particle size is 10-1,000μm.
