SUBSTANCE: invention relates to synthesis of 1-aryltriazolinone of the formula (I) <EMI ID=0.104 HE=30 WI=36 TI=CHI> where R is a lower alkyl; X is halogen, lower alkyl, nitro-, hydroxy-groups, <EMI ID=0.105 HE=6 WI=63 TI=CHI>; R' is a lower alkyl; n is a whole number from 0 to 3. Method involves treatment of aryltriazolidinone of the formula (II) <EMI ID=0.106 HE=27 WI=36 TI=CHI> with hypohalogenous acid or its salt in tert.-butanol-water medium at weight ratio = (95-70): (5-30), respectively.
