PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to output wrong data in the reduction mode when this data is detected. SOLUTION: A CPU 12 on an LBP body 1500 of a laser beam printer judges whether data received from a host computer 3000 is wrong data and, when the received data is decided to be wrong data, retrieves the name of a font to be replaced by a font which is used in output data when a printing operation is set in the reduction mode, from a retrieval table in which information corresponding to every font in use is stored and changes the font used in the output data to a hardly collapsible font and further, controls data to be output in the reduction mode. |
