摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly and appropriately electrify toner on the surface of a developer carrier by making a coating layer contain binding resin, conductive spherical particles dispersed in the binding resin and having specified number average particle size and true density and nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound. SOLUTION: A developing sleeve 8 has at least a base substance 6 and the coating layer 7 with which the base substance 6 is coated, the layer 7 contains the binding resin, the conductive spherical particles which are dispersed in the binding resin and whose number average particle size is 0.3 to 30μm and whose true density is <=3 g/cm<3> and the nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound. Therefore, uniform surface particle size is held on the surface of the layer 7 of the sleeve 8 and simultaneously toner contamination and toner fusion are hardly caused even when the surface of the layer 7 is worn. By the mutual action with the nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound contained in the conductive coating layer, the conductive spherical particles enhance the effect of the charge control of the nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound further, and rapid and uniform electrification is more improved and further electrifying performance is stabilized.
