PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data collation method that employs an encryption method in which decoding of encryption is difficult and prescribed data cannot be acquired, even when the decoding is successful. SOLUTION: A random number generating section 113 of a host device 11 generates a constant, based on a random number. An encryption module 114 encrypts the constant by a common key method that employs data A1 stored in a storage section 111 for a key. A decoding module of a terminal equipment 13 uses data A2 stored in a storage section 121 as a key to decode received encrypted data. Furthermore, that decoded by the terminal equipment 12 are used for a key, and data B2 are encrypted by the common key method. The host device 11 decodes the received encrypted data by using the constant generated before as a key, and the decoded data and the data B1 are collated. The result of collation indicates matching, only when the data A1 and A2 are equal as well as when the data B1 and B2 are equal. |
